The strongest formula in the Handcrafted Bowels range, blending five whole herbs to support healthy bowel movement and digestion. It is the current equivalent of Dr Morse’s GI #5 Super Mover.
Bowels Strong #4 is the strongest of the four Bowels formulas in Dr Morse’s Handcrafted Botanical Formulas. It was handcrafted to give firmer support to peristalsis, the natural wave-like movement of the bowel, than the lower levels in the range.
It brings together Cascara Sagrada bark, Cape Aloe leaf, Gentian root, Marshmallow root and Barberry root. Its primary focus is the digestive system, with the lymphatic system as a secondary focus.
Four formulas, from gentlest to strongest. Most people start lower and only move up if they need to. Once things are moving regularly, many people step back down the range.
Dr Morse’s GI #5 Super Mover (formerly GI Renew #5) is no longer made. Bowels Strong #4 is its equivalent in the Handcrafted Botanical Formulas range. It was previously sold as Bowels Shove, so you may also know it by that name. Like Super Mover, it includes Cascara Sagrada and Cape Aloe.

Questions
GI #5 Super Mover has been discontinued, and Bowels Strong #4 is listed as its equivalent in the Handcrafted Botanical Formulas range. Both include Cascara Sagrada and Cape Aloe. If you used Super Mover, this is the formula to move to.
There is no difference. Bowels Shove was renamed Bowels Strong #4. It is the same formula under its new name.
Most people start with Clean #1 or Nudge #2 and only move up if they need more support. Strong #4 is the top of the range, and it is the usual choice if you are moving from GI Super Mover. If you are unsure, our naturopath can help you choose.
Each bottle holds 90 vegetarian capsules. How long it lasts depends on the dose on the label and how many capsules you take each day.
Many people combine formulas that support different body systems. Introduce one formula at a time, follow the label directions, and speak to our naturopath if you are building a routine.
